Growing up with an East Asian background and navigating life as an immigrant has shaped the way I understand the connection between culture, identity, family expectations, and mental health. Before entering the counselling field, I also worked in a corporate environment, which gave me a personal understanding of burnout, perfectionism, comparison, performance pressure, and the quiet exhaustion of trying to meet expectations from every direction. I aim to provide a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can slow down, feel heard, better understand yourself, and begin moving toward a life that feels more authentic and manageable.
For those seeking support with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, cultural stress, and immigrant experiences, I take a warm, reflective, and collaborative approach. I believe that many of the ways we cope, protect ourselves, and relate to others are shaped by our past experiences. Sometimes these patterns once helped us survive, succeed, or stay connected, but over time they may begin to feel limiting, painful, or exhausting. In our work together, we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, while also building practical tools for emotional regulation, stress management, boundary setting, communication, and self-compassion.
I am especially interested in supporting working professionals and all individuals navigating identity, culture, self-growth, and relational concerns. My hope is to offer a supportive space where you can attune to your emotions, gain clarity around how your history influences your present experience, and develop a stronger sense of choice in your emotions, behaviours, and relationships. I believe your past does not have to be erased or rejected in order for you to heal. Instead, therapy can help you carry your history with more tenderness and understanding, while creating space for growth, connection, and a fuller life.
Please reach out if you would like to meet for a free consultation. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
I also offer therapy in Mardarin.
